Keren Cytter's film Atmosphere is about a love triangle, centering on two women who live together and appear to be involved with the same man. The characters position against each other, competing. The female characters have an intense relationship in which the boundary that separates friendship from attraction is not clear; and their individual memories and mental images are strongly affected by perception and time shifts.

Atmosphere was often exhibited together with Cytter's video Dreamtalk (2005) - both works form a sort of diptych on the themes of memory, attraction and the perception of affection.

Part auteur part amateur, Cytter pays homage to French New-Wave Cinema, Dogme films, and reality TV with a rough immediacy and poetic lingering.
