„Mai Thai University“ is a staged subversive poets academy in Berlin/ Kreuzberg in the year 2010 and background for Keren Cytter’s new video work Konstruktion. All participants of this 48-hour happening belong to the closer environment of Keren Cytter and her performance group Dance International Europe (D.I.E.) Now Company. For the video, Cytter sublimated the occurrences of a happening into a film. Spoken words transform into poetry, the poetical text changes into images. Konstruktion is a composed and conceptually sophisticated Berlin-film with aesthetically catchy images and a rhythmic structure that permeates not only speech and movements of the participants but also their glances on the carefully chosen surroundings and objects.
